Beijing, December 27th (Reporter Sun Boyang) According to the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), the second annual meeting of the Mechanical Professional Committee of the 5th Laboratory Special Committee and the 2024 National Machinery Industry Inspection and Testing Work Conference were held in Suzhou recently.
According to the caliber of the China Machinery Industry Federation, the machinery industry involves 10 major categories and 52 medium categories of the national economy. The machinery industry accounts for about 22% of the national industry, about 25% of the manufacturing industry, and about two-thirds of the equipment manufacturing industry.
At the meeting, Zhang Chaohua, Director and Secretary General of CNAS, reported on the progress of CNAS related work in 2024. He stated that the machinery industry is an important cornerstone of China's new quality productivity and has broad development prospects under new historical opportunities. CNAS will collaborate with the Machinery Industry Federation to continuously strengthen accreditation support and safeguard the high-quality development of the industry through measures such as optimizing accreditation processes, improving accreditation quality, and promoting smart accreditation.
Luo Junjie, Executive Vice President of the China Machinery Industry Federation, stated that the machinery industry is a fundamental and strategic industry for the development of the national economy, an important guarantee for industrial upgrading and technological progress in various industries, and has broad development space.
Looking back at the operation of the machinery industry in 2024, Luo Junjie stated that there are three characteristics: firstly, effective recovery of the production end and stable and positive product production; Secondly, there has been steady progress in foreign trade; Third, the high level of fixed assets investment slowed down.
When analyzing the industry outlook for 2025, Luo Junjie stated that positive factors continue to accumulate in the domestic market. The "Two New" policy effects of the "Action Plan for Promoting Large scale Equipment Renewal and Consumer Goods Trade in" and "Several Measures to Strengthen Support for Large scale Equipment Renewal and Consumer Goods Trade in" will continue to improve the demand market for mechanical products. With the implementation of policies, the policy effects have already been evident in the mechanical industry.
At the meeting, Liu Changzhou, Deputy Secretary General of CNAS, analyzed the situation and challenges faced by the industry's development, put forward work suggestions for the construction of the special committee, and made work arrangements around enhancing recognition credibility, professionalization, and international mutual recognition.
